Hair Care

PURCHASING NOTES:

1. Most traditional (sewin/quickweave) installs require a minimum of 2 bundles. 

2. If you are ordering bundles shorter than 22 inches, 2 bundles would be enough for a traditional install.

If you are ordering bundles longer than 22 inches, it is recommended that you order at least 3 bundles for a traditional install.

***The longer the bundles, the smaller they will become. As you approach different lengths, a specific number of bundles are recommended.***

22 inches or shorter- 2 bundles minimum 

30 inches or shorter- 3 bundles minimum 

34 inches or shorter- 4 bundles minimum 

40 inches or shorter- 5 bundles minimum 

 

3.  If you plan to use a frontal for your install, 2 bundles can be enough to complete the full head installation.

If you plan to use a closure for your install, 2/3 bundles can be enough to complete a full head installation. 

* PLEASE NOTE: THAT THESE NOTES ARE ONLY TIPS TO HELP FOR PURCHASING. You will never go wrong by applying more bundles than what is listed. 

 

WHAT IS A FRONTAL? 

A FRONTAL is an ear-to-ear lace piece that is usually styled at the front or nape of the head. It can be purchased from us in a 13x4 or 13x6.

 

WHAT IS A CLOSURE? 

A CLOSURE is a crown sized lace piece that is usually styled and are placed in the middle of the head or on the side for a side part. It can be purchased from us in a few diffferent sizes. However, 4x4 is the most common. 

HAIR CARE TIPS:

  1. To maximize hair quality, we recommended keeping hair cleansed and moisturized.
  2. When cleansing hair, use sulfate and alcohol free products.
  3. Rinse any products and residue out thoroughly. Any traces of excess product will result in dull and stiff hair.
  4. Before styling, make sure hair is completely dry to prevent tangling. It is best to let hair air dry.
  5. Hydrate hair with oil or serum every 2-3 days.
  6. Brush hair from ends to roots.
  7. Cover hair with a satin scarf/bonnet or use a silk pillow case at bedtime.

 

NOTICE: Please allow a professional to bleach and color extensions and lace. The hair will not achieve its full quality if over processed by bleach or hair dye.

Proper maintenance will yield long-term results. Please follow hair care tips for directions. 

BEST WAYS TO MAINTAIN BODY WAVE TEXTURE
1. Use products when washing bundles specified for wavy/curly hair. 
2. Deep conditioner maintains moisture. (Silicon Mix is a great brand for reviving hair)
3. After washing, scrunch hair upward towards weft to bring out wave texture and let air dry.
4. When styling, use tools such as flexirods or a diffuser to maintain waves. 

BEST WAYS TO MAINTAIN CURLY TEXTURE
1. Use products when washing bundles specified for curly hair. (Recommended Brands: Mixed Chicks, Aussie, Creme of Nature) 
2. Deep conditioner maintains moisture. (Silicon Mix is a great brand for reviving hair)
3. After washing, scrunch hair upward towards weft to bring out curl texture and let air dry.
4. When styling, use tools such as a diffuser to maintain curls. 
5. When styling, use water and leave-in conditioner to moisturize and activate curls. After spraying, apply curl sculptor/mousse products to hold curls in place.  (Recommended Brands: Mixed Chicks, Aussie, Creme of Nature)
